Creativity

Logos. We see them almost every day, when we put on our clothes, go to our favourite supermarket or even when watching your favourite movie at the cinema. To a company a logo represents the point of recognition for their products or services. However, to a logo designer they represent something different. They represent a challenge, the challenge of incorporating a company’s ideologies, beliefs and service into a single image. In this article, I will discuss on how to make a unique creative logo by avoiding cliché trends in order to give the logo a sense of creative ingenuity and style.
Let’s get started with the top tips from our designers here at CNUK print.

Research, research, research

The best way to get a unique idea is to look at existing old and new logos. Online websites are a great way for you to get some inspiration.  A useful step which many logo designers take is to brainstorm ideas, this is important!

Immersion

Before sketching out ideas for the logo, immerse yourself into the company’s brand. What do I mean by this? Get to know the company you are working for. Have a feel of what they do, why they do it and how it can benefit other people. This is a crucial standing point between designers who make great logos and those who don’t.
GET TO KNOW THE COMPANY. This will affect many features and aspect of their design for instance, colour scheme.

Compare and contrast

You’re not going to get your logo design perfect first time round. It will require some persistence and patience. However, I strongly advise you that once each logo has been made compare and contrast between the logos you have already designed, this will speed up the process and will eliminate design mistakes.

A final word of caution, the most important thing when making your logo is not the software you are using, it is your client. Engage with your client and ask questions so that both parties are clear what they want from one another.
